Day 3 - Dog ’awn

Eiger was ready for a break, premium padding installed in the back of my RAV4 notwithstanding. We are staying an extra night in Rockford, Illinois, until the snow passes and 45 mph winds subside. I drove to Rock Cut State Park so that Eiger could stretch his long legs and haul around some logs while we wait out the storm. He needed the exercise and the Holiday Inn needed a respite --  85 pounds of muscle bounding down the corridors and barking does tend to scare the cleaning staff just a bit. You know you are in North Country when there’s a special dog training area in the park, miles of it, in fact,. It's for dog mushing.  Better move on before Eiger gets ideas and decides this place is home.
